Title: N/A
N/A
The symbols are the gators, which just happen to be each of the three remaining running candidates for republican GOP.
I think the artist meant by making the candidates gators are playing around with the who eats who concept, i believe that they are joking with how they're actually beating themselves up in the long run which i believe the GOP big gator that represents the mom is actually Obama in the end.
The gators, Romney, Gingrich and Santorum are asking the GOP gator that Mothers don't always eat their young and she is definitely disagreeing, because it depends on 'who'. The ideological perspective of the artist, i can't really tell, it seems really hit and miss.
This cartoon relates to current events mainly with the fact that the republican candidates continue to thwart themselves with the things they say. Santorum with the Kennedy outburst, Romney and the etch-a-sketch etc...
This doesn't really relate much to the class discussion..
This is ironic because it's backhanded compliment.
Fierce gators that are on the foodchain themselves. How more ironic can you get?
