Title: Trayvon Martin
These words are being used to describe the cartoon due to a recent tragedy that caused political controversy when Obama recognized the crime saying they'd 'get to the bottom of this.'
A guy is holding a gun with a suspicious garment covering his body.
I think the artist is trying to compare the criminal with the KKK, or the like because the victim died by gun shots and they're really trying to find justice, maybe the artist is saying this was really just a race crime.
In class, we discussed things about how or what the president or the government is allowed to say. I believe that this is an issue because Obama is a black president addressing a murder of a black child. ;< they want to create drama for nothing. (imo)
I think this is satirical because of the caption in the side that says 'suspicious man in hoodie'. It's funny because it reminds me of the news where they made the bad seem not so bad, and the obvious just 'what are you talking about? It's obviously 'THIS' '
The artist's ideological perspective seems to be that of a democrat taking the side of obama in this case, where it's like 'really guys, really? you really think it's not a race crime?' type of thing.
